This is the highest quality, solid state, dual channel digital video recorder on the market today.
The XM-DVR pro has been designed for in car use but could also be used in other vehicles including motorbikes. It's also a preferred system for light aircfraft.

XM-DVR Pro is encased in a strong aluminium casing and is the most rugged recorder we have ever seen!. It records in MPEG2 format and has an incredible video encoding bit rate of 10mb/s. Not only does it record in full 720 x 576 full PAL resolution but it can do this from two cameras at the same time! So, two individual video streams both at 720 x 576 and both at 10mb/s. (you will need a fast CF card to achieve this quality)

If you have two cameras connected to this recorder, you will end up with two video files on the CF card which can be played in windows or imported into all current video editing programs. The only other way to achieve recordings from two cameras using other digital video recorders is to have one for each camera. Not so with the XM-DVR Pro.

This recorder has an advanced interlacing and combing filter so playing back the video direct on your computer or back to any TV or monitor will look awesome.

The xm dvr pro can take two compact flash cards up to 16gb each giving a total of 32gb of solid state storage space. A single 16gb CF card will hold nearly 4 hours at full quality from one camera. Add a second camera and this will reduce the storage space by 50%.

You will need to purchase CF cards capable of 40mb/s to be able to recorder at 10mb/s from two cameras at the same time.

Unlike most other digital recorders available the xm-dvr pro does not have a file size limit. So video files can be much longer than the standard 4gb allowed on other devices.

The connections on the XM DVR pro are much more advanced over other digital recorders. It uses a DVI connector and is supplied with a DVI break-out cable providing more reliable connectivity.
