This is the brand new Sony HQ2 high resolution bullet camera.

DCS have designed this camera and housing based around the already excellent HQ1 model. It uses the latest SuperHADII chipset with 1/3" ExviewHAD CCD sensor.

The colour balance has been adjusted to to make the most of the Canon treated lens which is changeable for different angles of view.

Low light levels are massively improved using this chipset, there is currently no other 1/3" bullet camera that can outperform the HQ2 in terms of image quality and low light ability.

The overall size of this bullet camera is much smaller than most others. A diameter of 19mm and length of just 55mm and we still managed to keep the 1/4" 20 UNC mounting thread on the rear making it really easy to mount. This camera works with all of the cameras mounts on this site.

IP68 rating means it's waterproof down to 3m including waterproof connections for extension cable runs of up to 50m.

If all of this wasn't enough, the HQ2 camera only draws 65mA in power, which is 60% less than the next best camera in it's class. This means the camera keeps cooler and the batteries in your recorder will last longer.
