This is the SkyTools Lanc Remote capable of controlling compatible certain Sony and Canon camcorders with a bullet camera. This version disables the buttons on the camcorder whilst in use (a good thing), it also means that you can turn on and off the camcorder and it instantly goes into 'play' mode for recording from the bullet camera. These brilliant gadgets allow you to start and stop recording, and switch on and off power. This means you don't waste battery power and recording time, and it makes editing much easier (saves skimming through minutes of boring footage).

Use version 1.6 for newer Sony's that have a toggle power switch.
