VIO POV.1 Helmet Camera System

The VIO POV.1 is a fully integrated point-of-view waterproof video camera system. The kit includes a mountable digital camera head, built-in digital video recorder, waterproof wireless remote and supplied with software for managing your videos.
The POV.1 can be used for all sports including motorsports. It's also a perfectly suited camera for skiers and snowboarders.
The camera head is waterproof to about 10m of water and the recorder part can go down to about 1m. All parts can be submerged as long as the battery cover remains in place.
The wireless remote is a great advantage, you can use the remote to start/stop the video recording. When you purchase this system from us we will supply an 8gb SD card for FREE offering over 380 minutes of record time.
The POV.1 kit is supplied with a range of mounts for mounting the camera head to just about anything. There is a "C" Clamp that holds the camera in place and the clamp is attached to one of two mount attachments. The base part of this camera mount provides a 1/4" mounting thread so it can be used with our wide range of camera mounts.
You can connect the POV.1 directly to your TV for playback or simply plug the recorder in to your PC and download the video for easy editing (software is supplied). We will also give you a FREE USB Card reader for even easier transfer of footage.
The menu on the unit is user friendly and allows you to change the input sound levels, the picture quality and all other settings very easily.
The video resolution is limited to 720 x 480 which is below DVD quality but still very good for the price.

Viosport POV.1 certified 4gb Card
Our DCS branded SD cards have been specially chosen to work with the latest digital video recorders on the market today. All SD cards we sell are Class 6 ( fastest available)
This card will provide 190 mins of solid recording and is certified by us to work with the POV.1 helmet camera system from VIO. You can use any 4gb sd card with the POV.1 as long as you format it to FAT16. Some cards are better than others. We have had no reports of data corruption using this brand. You can also do this with an 8gb card but you will only be able to use 50% of the SD card's capacity.
We provide a FREE 4gb card with each POV.1 system we sell.

VIO Camera Head
A replacement camera head for the POV.1 system. If you break, lose or just want a spare! Using the excellent new CMOS cam technology for pure digital image reproduction.
Two versions of the camera head are available. There is a narrow angled camera head and a wide angled version.
The wide angle gives a 110 degree field of view and the narrow version gives a 70 degree angle.
A camera head is included in the full package above.

POV.1 Wireless Remote
This is the remote controller for the POV.1 which has a range of 5m. It works on radio waves so you don't require line of sight with the recorder for it to work. If your friend is using the same system then you can easily change channels (1-10)
Used to start/stop recording and for tagging your videos.
A Wireless remote controller is included in the package above.

POV.1 I/0 Port Cover
This is the part that covers the I/O port on the bottom of the POV.1
It's important to have this in place to keep the system waterproof. Do not pull on the screw to remove this cover, use your finger nails or a knife to lever this cover off.
This is a spare in case you lose or break your cover.
