VIO POV.1.5 Camera System
This is the latest camera kit from VIO. An update on their already successful waterproof two piece camera kit.
The POV 1.5 has been upgraded to officially support up to an 8gb SDHC memory card providing over 6 hours of footage at full quality. It now comes with a smaller camera head with a fixed cable coming from the camera.
A new STAR mount is included as well as a double hook and loop mount which pretty much covers your mounting requirements for most head camera purposes. Six Neodymium powerful magnets are supplied for use with the star mount. These can be used to fix the star mount to your shoulder or baseball cap.
We have designed a billet ring for the POV 1.5 camera which allows it to be used with any of the clamp or suction mounts on this site. For roll-bar mounting we would highly recommend the Ultimate Clamp mount to provide the highest amount of rigidity.
All parts of the system are waterproof including the wireless remote controller and in-line microphone. The VIO POV 1.5 camera head is waterproof to about 3m of water and the recorder part can go down to 1m. All parts can be submerged as long as the battery cover and IO port covers remain in place.
POV.1.5 is supplied with a 4gb SDHC card as standard and batteries so you can start using it right out of the box.
The wireless remote allows you to start/stop recording and can also be used to "tag" your videos making it easy to find the best parts when playing back on a PC. (software for MAC is not supported) POV.1.5 also has a clever pre-record feature. Simply press the "tag" button on the remote when in loop mode and it will capture the video you were shooting up to 10mins after it happened.
You can connect the POV 1.5 to your TV for playback or plug the recorder in to your PC and download the video for easy editing (software supplied).
The menu on the unit is very user friendly and allows you to change the input sound levels, the picture quality and all other settings.

VIO POV Power Kit
You can use the POV power kit to externally power the POV.1 and POV.1.5 digital video recorders. This replaces the battery cover and also provides a 1/4" mounting thread so you can use a clamp or suction mount to secure the POV recorder.
Supplied with a cig lighter adapter and bare wires for direct connection.

This will give much better audio quality over the mic from the POV.

POV Mount Kit
This is the latest mounts package available for the VIO POV helmet camera system.
Compatible with all variants of the POV including POV.1 and POV.1.5.
The newly designed POV Mounting Kit allows users to overcome all camera head mounting issues they may be faced with in the field. The new Camera Clamp provides security and specific angles the camera head needs in order to capture high quality footage and is compatible with all new bases for swapping uses. The cable guide is included to help manage the cable once the camera head is mounted.
This kit also includes a 1/4" thread mount which means you can use the POV camera with any of our suction mounts or clamp mounts. This is the same 1/4" whitworth thread found on all camcorders and digital stills cameras for use on tripods etc.
Perhaps the best part of this mounting kit is the new "star" mount which works on most helmets and the supplied neodymium magnets allow you to use the camera on top of baseball caps or even on your shoulder through your clothing.

POV Alloy Billet Ring
The POV camera is no longer supplied with a standard 1/4" mounting thread so we decided to design our own!
This Alluminium Billet ring has been machined specifically for the POV.1 and POV.1.5 cameras and provides the all important tripod thread around the shaft of the camera. With this ring fitted, you can use any of the clamp of suction mounts on this website.

Ultimate POV Clamp Mount
This is a Manfrotto super clamp and Cullmann fluid head fitted with the Alloy Billet Ring for both POV.1 and POV.1.5 camera systems.
If you want to mount your POV camera to a roll bar or any other tubular bar or rail then this mount will hold the camera solid. This is what we use for fitting bullet camera systems to rally cars.

POV.1.5 Wireless Remote
This is the remote controller for the POV.1 and POV.1.5 which has a range of 5m. It works on radio waves so you don't require line of sight with the recorder for it to work. If your friend is using the same system then you can easily change channels (1-10)
Used to start/stop recording and for tagging your videos.
A Wireless remote controller is included in the package above.

POV.1.5 I/0 Port Cover
This is the part that covers the I/O port on the bottom of the POV.1 and POV.1.5
It's important to have this in place to keep the system waterproof. Do not pull on the screw to remove this cover, use your finger nails or a knife to lever this cover off.
This is a spare in case you lose or break your cover.
The I/O port cover is included in the package above.
