Here is a short,
web compressed clip we filmed when testing our new Quad splitter. The video is far from
perfect (wrong microphone and mounts used), as the intention was purely
to test this new product (which worked very well). It does show that you
can get a variety of angles cheaply and easily, and that we test every
product we sell.
Thank you to
the TVR owners who just happened to be out for a drive on that day!

Hello to all
our customers we met at the busy MPH 07 shows.
We would like
to thank

allowing us to use their Mini Cooper Works and also to Mark Anderson of

The October
issue of Performance Ford magazine has a large write up about the Gatebil
festival in Norway last month. Some of the pictures used in the pages
were taken by Fast Films as well as David being in some of them!
The article
really captures the atmosphere and action created by 42,000 spectators!
The video we captured from the event will form part of a cover DVD
expected in the February 2008 issue. We filmed on board as well as from
the sideline, even from a helicopter. |

The September
2007 issue of Performance BMW
magazine reviews our exclusive Ultimate Trackday mount on page 20 under
'Brand New'. It reads -
If you're
partial to taking you BMW on track and want to show off your awesome
driving prowess off after the day is done, why not invest in a Fast Films
Ultimate track day mount to hold your video camera in place while you
concentrate on putting the pedal to the metal. The mount fits securely
between the rear side windows with three suction cups on each end of the
mount, it's also telescopic so it will fit inside any windows between
110cm to 162cm wide. Each end of the mount is equipped with a safety
strap, so should the worse happen it won't go flying around the inside of
the car. |
 |
The September
2007 issue of
Performance Ford magazine has us listed a number of times.
On page 52

pictures of the cars we filmed - The ZOO motorsport Sierra Cosworth,
the Reyland Escort WRC and the Field Motorsport Escort WRC. We also
travelled in convoy with the guys from Fensport and Norris Designs. Fast
Films proprietor David Smitheram is pictured a couple of times!
On page 107
is a couple of shots of our previous Fast Films Clio 172, carrying out
chase duties at RAF Woodbridge. |

of their news section.
The 1/4 page article says
'If your camera interests go beyond a Boots disposable and you enjoy
reading cars then read on.
Fast Films specialise in vehicle filming, selling all the camera mounts
under the sun. Have you ever wondered how motion shots are taken when the
camera appears to be mounted on the car but the background is doing warp
speed? The trick is to use mounts.........
...............both the mounts are very well made giving peace of mind when
your camera is perched on top! |

New camera car for Fast Films. |
After 18 months of near
perfect service from our Clio 172, it was time for a change. This time we
have chosen a Toyota Celica VVTLi 190. Not an obvious choice, but with a
few modifications should make a good, reliable track car. Look out for it
at a trackday or show in 2007.

March 2007

Our products received a thorough
testing on the 9th and 10th of November with
Performance Ford Magazine.
We were filming for them at RAF Woodbridge, carrying out top speed runs up
the 2.2 mile runway. The results will be forming a cover DVD in the future.
Our quad and triple sucker mounts were used to good effect all over the
cars, including a GPS verified 182 mph run on the modified Sierra
Sapphire Cosworth pictured left. |
 |
We exhibited at the MPH show
recently, and had the fortune of meeting and chatting to James May and
Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear. They were interested to know if we sold
camera mounts which don't rattle or fall off! We are talking to the shows
makers to see if we can offer solutions from Fast Films..... |

Read the great article in
the 27th September issue of Autocar
on page 51. Chris Harris recalls how he first became interested in in-car
filming last year when he strapped a camcorder to the bonnet of a Noble at
the Nurburgring. He says the results weren't great, so he has taken the
plunge and invests in a selection of our kit including mounts and bullet
camera. I'm sure Chris will get some good results.
